A modern Asian restaurant featuring an exquisite menu that captures the essence of Asian cooking with a European twist on classic favourites. They offer carefully curated range of wines, award-winning Japanese craft beers and premium sakes which set them apart from other restaurants.
I was impressed with its interior design. I think we could all agree on how it fits with the description of being a modern restaurant and at the same time, providing diners with a cozy ambiance.
I had the opportunity to meet celebrity chef, Chef Benson Tong, and have him explain to me about the interesting dishes he had come up with for the new menu! I was definitely fascinated to hear about the ingredients he chose to use and also the steps taken to make the dishes. It was an eye-opener how well thought out the steps were.
This appetizer has quite the good balance in taste with the rock melon being sweet and the ham being salty. Matching them both together is pleasure for your taste-buds.
I found myself entranced with how good the beetroot on this dish tasted! It tasted like carrot with a hint of sour to it. Addictive stuff.
You must be wondering what is this forbidden rice. The most interesting part about this dish is how it incorporated black glutinous rice (which is used in the popular Asian dessert, black glutinous rice porridge). And yes, this black glutinous rice is what is referred to in this dish as forbidden rice.
I am a big fan of scallops. Like, who aren't?
I am glad to find that the texture of scallop was cooked perfectly. However, I do think that the salted egg part of the dish made the whole dish a little too salty. I still enjoy this dish though, because the fragrance of the scallop and salted egg is there.
Hands down my favourite dish of the night! Huge huge fan of this particular seabass. Couldn't stop eating it. You should've seen me. This dish probably made me look like a glutton. Although the seabass can be a tad bit too salty because of how it is marinated in miso, I am still in love with it because it tasted SO good.
First impression of the seabass was that it tasted like COD FISH. OMG. -inserts heart eyes emoji-
To be honest, I was skeptical about this dish when it made its way to the table. Will the pork be too tough?
My taste buds had an easy time proving to me that my skeptical thoughts couldn't be more wrong. The meat was so tender! It reminded me very much of the pork my Mum cooked. Haha
The meat itself and the sauce turned out to be quite salty.
However, it could be a perfect balance if I were to eat it with the potato. (:
If you are worried about the cake being too sweet, fret not. I think the torched meringue and cake are a suitable match.
Majority of you would enjoy this dessert because majority of us did! The vanilla ice cream is actually made from vanilla beans instead of vanilla essence.
I really enjoyed the dehydrated pineapples which had an interesting texture and flavour to them.
Procuitto Ham & Melon
Details: Wild Rocket, Compressed Rock Melon, Pickled Beetroot, Balsamic GelThis appetizer has quite the good balance in taste with the rock melon being sweet and the ham being salty. Matching them both together is pleasure for your taste-buds.

Details: Arugula, Charred Corn Kennel, Braised Leek, Roasted Parsnip, Granny Smith SauceTo be honest, I was skeptical about this dish when it made its way to the table. Will the pork be too tough?

Samolina Cake
